DUNCAN, OK (KSWO) -A woman in Duncan is celebrated a major milestone Saturday when she turned 100.

Marguerite Eason celebrated her 100th birthday at the Chisholm Trail Assisted Living Center. She was joined by family and friends to celebrate.

Turning 100 is not an easy feat, and Eason had some words of wisdom on how to get there.

"The best thing to have...is to live for the Lord. And also work. Don't be lazy," Eason said.

Eason's family says she has more than 100 grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.

One of the employees at the assisted living center says Eason has a lot of stories from her past, and she has a nickname. They used to call her ‘Hotrod Granny’ because she was still driving around at the age of 98.
