Icy road plays role in Stephens County wreck

LOCO, OK (KSWO) –A man from Comanche was taken to the hospital Monday morning after he lost control and hit a tree.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 49-year-old man from Comanche, Oklahoma, was admitted to Duncan Regional Hospital in fair condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries. OHP says the driver was eastbound on Highway 53, just east of Pinto Road near Loco, when he lost control on the icy road, spun his vehicle around and hit a tree just before 8:00 a.m. Monday.

The driver was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
