KAW LAKE, OK (KSWO) -After three days of searching for missing Arkansas country singer Craig Strickland, he still hasn't been found.

Rescuers are still searching for 29-year-old Craig Strickland, the lead singer for the country-rock band Backroad Anthem. The search is focused around Kaw Lake near Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Strickland and a friend, Chase Morland, went duck hunting over the weekend. The two went missing after their boat capsized Sunday; Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers found Morland’s body Monday. Strickland’s dog, Sam, was found alive.

The terrain around the lake and the severe winter storm that hit Oklahoma over the weekend have made search and rescue attempts difficult.

OHP called off Wednesday’s search around 6:00 p.m. due to nightfall. They used a side scan sonar, helicopter and searched along the land near the lake in hopes of finding Strickland.

They will use a second scanning vessel Thursday, a helicopter and two search K-9s from Missouri. The search will resume at 8:00 a.m. Thursday.

OHP says the overwhelming show of support is greatly appreciated, but they do not need volunteer assistance. Additional vessels on the lake may impede search efforts.
