LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -A Lawton man violently lashed out in the back of a police car as he was being taken to the hospital.

Police say they found 36-year-old Jeremiah Kirkpatrick lying in a yard on Northwest Andrews Avenue. When officers asked for identification, Kirkpatrick pulled out a lighter, a glass pipe and a small bag of blue meth. He was arrested and placed in the back of the patrol car.

Soon, Kirkpatrick went wild and kicked at the back door, smashed his head against the divider, bit the seat and foamed at the mouth.

Kirkpatrick was taken to the Comanche County Memorial Hospital emergency room to recover before going to jail.
