TILLMAN COUNTY, OK (KSWO) -Residents in some areas of Tillman County are currently on their sixth consecutive day without having power.

The majority of Frederick received power Thursday night, but problems still remain in the rural areas with customers of Southwest Rural Electric. As of Friday, more than 2,500 Southwest Rural Electric customers are without electricity after storms damaged the Navajo, Altus and Tipton substations.

Crews are out working in Snyder, Manitou and Martha, but officials for Southwest Rural Electric say it could be more than a week before power is fully restored to all customers.
