DUNCAN, OK (KSWO) -The Stephens County commissioners have appointed a new court clerk, and she is no stranger to the job.

Dana Blevins was sworn in at 8:30 a.m. Monday in a ceremony at the courthouse. The commissioners voted in a meeting in November for her to finish out the term of Margaret Cunningham, who retired at the end of this year.

Blevins has worked as first deputy court clerk for the past 35 years at the Stephens County Courthouse. She will hold the position until the end of 2016.

Blevins says she plans to run for election in April 2016. If appointed, she will hold the title until 2020.
