LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - A man was taken to a Lawton hospital early Thursday morning after he was shot in the leg.

Police got the call around 3:20 a.m. after a clerk at the EZ-Go at Northwest Sheridan Road and Lindy Avenue reported the shooting outside. The man who was shot told police he was buying a few items and left the store when two black men got out of a vehicle and walked up the store. The man said one of them pulled out a black handgun and shot him in the left thigh.

The two men got back into their vehicle and drove away.

The man was treated for the gunshot and refused to tell police anything else and refused to prosecute the two suspects.
