Man kills himself during traffic stop

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -A man is dead after he shot himself during a traffic stop in Lawton.

Police say he was driving a maroon Nissan Sentra with his headlights turned off when they pulled him over on Southwest White Avenue between 25th Place and 26th Street just before midnight Wednesday. Before officers spoke to the driver, he shot and killed himself.

The man was 26 years old.

No other details have been released.
