LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- A disturbing case of child neglect has landed a Comanche County man behind bars.

Officers arrested Randy Abbe after going to his home in Cache with a search warrant. They say Abbe was under the influence of drugs when they found him lying on a bed, practically comatose, and holding a bag containing several prescription pills. There were three children in the home, and officers said trash and spoiled food covered the floor in every room. They said the odor was so intense it made both officers physically ill.

The children were taken into DHS custody.
