LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -If you're suffering from hip or knee pain, or know someone who is, Southwestern Medical Center is introducing a new orthopedic surgeon who may be able to help with that.
Dr. Stephen Davenport is the only fellowship-trained hip and knee reconstruction orthopedic surgeon in Southwest Oklahoma. He also performed the first computer-assisted knee replacement surgery in the state.
He'll host a seminar Tuesday on some of the new developments in knee and hip replacement, as well as Southwestern's Joint Center, which, once it's opened, will make the process much better for the patient.
"That joint center will allow us to integrate all the different entities that come into play in the joint replacement. So, the patients get an integrated package where everyone's working together to provide the best outcome for the patient," Dr. Davenport said.
The seminar to meet and chat with Dr. Davenport will be Tuesday, Jan. 19, at noon. Seating will be limited, so call 580-531-6483 to make a reservation.
