Crash critically injures Duncan man

GRADY COUNTY, OK (KSWO) - A Duncan man was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition following a crash on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike.

It happened about six miles south of Newcastle in Grady County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a driver tried to pass a semi around 7:19 p.m. Thursday, but went off the road and rolled the 2002 Chevy Tahoe two times.

The driver and all three passengers were taken to OU Medical Center. One of the passengers, 51-year-old Joe Thomas Rogers of Duncan, was taken by MediFlight and was admitted in critical condition. The driver and one of the passengers were admitted in fair condition, the other passenger was admitted in critical condition.

Rogers and the unnamed passenger in critical condition were both ejected from the Tahoe. OHP says the driver was the only person wearing a seat belt at the time.
