Early voting for Feb election around the corner

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –Early voting for the upcoming February election is just around the corner.

Eligible voters, who have registered in Comanche County, and want to cast their ballot early can do so on Thursday, Feb. 4, or Friday, Feb. 5, at the Comanche County Election Board Office. That office is located on the ground floor (2nd floor) of the Comanche County Courthouse, 315 SW 5th St, Room 206.

A two-member, bipartisan Absentee Voting Board will be there from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days.

February 5 is also the last day to register to vote or make any changes to your voter registration before the March 1 Presidential Preferential Primary.

    The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is reaching out to law enforcement in several counties to try and identify a body found burning in a field. Firefighters were called to the blaze in Payne County, near Stillwater, during the middle of last night's rain storm. So far, all authorities are confirming is that it was a man's body and was badly burned in a brush pile. Investigators are now looking through missing person's reports to try identify him.
