FREDERICK, OK (KSWO) -The Frederick man accused of killing his girlfriend's baby March 2015 has been bound over for trial.

Gregory Miller Jr.'s formal arraignment is set for March 4 following the death of 18-month-old Lane Fairchild.

Miller and the baby's mother, Kelly Fairchild, rushed baby Lane to the hospital after they found him unresponsive, but hospital officials alerted police after they found suspicious bruising and cuts on the baby. An autopsy report revealed the child had a fractured skull.

When Fairchild was arrested, she told investigators Miller had stepped on her son while trying to let the dog out. Miller told investigators he accidentally nicked the boys head while he was drunk that night and did not remember if the boy cried out or not. Miller was charged with first-degree murder.

Fairchild has also been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the case. Her preliminary hearing is set for March 3.
