Longtime assistant coach Mike Burris to take over the reigns at Eisenhower

The Eisenhower Eagles have a new head football coach. The Lawton Board of Education approved the hiring of longtime Ike assistant coach Mike Burris on Monday.

Burris was Ike's defensive line coach this past season, but he's been a part of the Eagle program since 1994. He's also been the school's head track coach since 2001.

He'll replace Danny Edelman, who resigned in November following two seasons at the helm. Eisenhower will be making the move down to Class 5A in 2016.
