Driver seriously injured in rollover crash

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -A violent rollover crash in Comanche County sent a woman to the hospital.

Troopers say the car was eastbound on Baseline Road just west of Southeast 75th Road. Witnesses told troopers they saw the car in their rear view mirror driving straight when they saw it jerk from the road. After veering off the roadway, troopers say the car rolled multiple times before landing on its top.

"The male passenger stated that the female stated that the steering wheel locked up for whatever reason causing her to depart the roadway to the left," said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tyrone Dixon.

The female driver was drifting in and out of consciousness when help arrived and was mediflighted to a hospital with serious injuries. Troopers say the driver has suffered multiple seizures in the past and may have played a role in Tuesday night's collision.
