CACHE, OK (KSWO) -Former Elgin basketball star Jentry Holt is suing several members of the Cache Public Schools administration.

Holt was hit in the face with a basketball by a Cache player February 2015 while guarding an inbound play. The incident has sparked multiple investigations in to whether or not Cache head coach Kenny White drew up the play to purposely harm or injure Holt.

White, who has taken a leave of absence from the team, is one of 10 defendants named in the lawsuit. Others named in the suit include: Cache Superintendent Randy Batt, Assistant Superintendent Jeremy Hogan, Principal Corey Holland, Athletic Director Lonnie Nunley and all of the members of the school board.

Holt is looking for civil relief of more than $10,000 for negligence.

The OSSAA is expected to discuss the findings of its investigation at its next board meeting on March 23.
