WAURIKA, OK (KSWO) -A preliminary hearing has been set for the former treasurer of Ryan on accusations she embezzled nearly $100,000.

Patricia Laskowski is expected to make an appearance in court May 3. She is charged with two counts of felony embezzlement. Laskowski admitted in a taped interview that she took between $3,000 and $4,000 a month during the two years she was treasurer.

A state audit released November 2015 revealed some of the money was taken out of customer’s utility bills payments.
