Man charged in hash lab fire

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- A Lawton man who was arrested in connection to a weekend house fire is now charged with first degree arson.

Court records show Rocky Stamper was living in the home at 2802 NW 25th when the fire ignited on February 13. Firefighters called police after discovering what appeared to be drug paraphernalia inside the burning structure. After obtaining a search warrant, narcotic investigators were able to confirm the remnants of a butane hash lab. A stolen shotgun and bullet-proof vest were also found.

Stamper was also charged with possession of stolen property, manufacturing drugs, possession of drugs, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, and maintaining a place for keeping or selling drugs.

Three others were arrested in connection to the case. They were charged Wednesday with drug crimes.
