EL RENO, OK (KSWO) –An Amber Alert has been issued for an 8-year-old girl out of El Reno, Oklahoma.

The El Reno Police Department says 8-year-old Mabel Lopez and her mother, 33-year-old Miria Lopez-Rodriguez are believed to be in danger.

They say 39-year-old Arcenio De Jesus was involved in an assault and battery with a deadly weapon in El Reno around 11 p.m. Wednesday. Police say De Jesus attacked a man with a machete. The victim suffered multiple cuts to the face and his hands were nearly severed off. De Jesus fled the city and is believed to be headed to Mexico with Mabel and Maria.

A clothing description was not available for anyone involved.

Police believe the three are in a gray 2005 Ford Explorer with Oklahoma tag 689LHD.
