Cameron University prepares for 'Game on' homecoming

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -All over Cameron University, staff and students are celebrating their homecoming weekend.

Each year, Cameron invites current students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community to come out and enjoy some fun. Frank Myers, the associate director for alumni relations, says they are trying out a few new things this year, while keeping with some old traditions.

"We're going to do a chuck wagon cook off, which is always like a staple of our homecoming, and so we will have three covered wagons come out they'll all cook. We also have a band this year, which is new for us. We are going to bring Dani Carson and the Storm, she is from Fletcher," Myers said.

Those events begin Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Following the band's performance, everyone's encouraged to head to the Aggie Gym at 4:00 p.m. for a men's and women's basketball doubleheader with Texas A&M Kingsville.
