New recording system for interrogation room

COMANCHE COUNTY, OK (KSWO) - The Comanche County Sheriff's Department will soon get a new audio/visual recording system inside their interrogation room.

Monday, at the Comanche County Commissioners meeting Sheriff Kenny Stradley raised a concern about the audio not working properly with their current system. The sheriff said it's important that the audio and video of suspect interrogation interviews is clear, in order to maintain the integrity of the evidence in criminal cases.

The commissioners voted to approve the purchase and installation of new equipment, at a cost of about $5,000.
