Duncan departments hit by budget cuts

DUNCAN, OK (KSWO) -Declining sales tax revenue is to blame for a 10 percent budget cut for all city departments in Duncan.

According to Assistant City Manager Janice Caine, the cuts were put in place Thursday, Feb. 18, by City Manager Jim Frieda as a way for department heads to watch how much money they were spending.

Caine says the City Council will review how well the budget cuts are working each month and decide from there if the budget cuts should increase or stay as they are.
