LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –A Lawton pastor found an unexpected surprise when he showed up at his church Sunday morning.

The pastor at True Love Apostolic Faith Church called police Sunday morning after finding a glass door was broken out and a window was damaged. Officers searched the church and found a woman sleeping on one of the pews.

The woman, Nicole Prescott, told officers she lived on Northwest Ozmun Avenue and couldn’t understand how she got in the church. Officers arrested Prescott and noted her breath had an odor of alcohol. They also found her purse, glasses and other shoe in the chapel. As Prescott and the officers were leaving, one of the officers picked up a silver iPhone in the glass from the broken door. Prescott said the phone was hers.

Prescott was taken to the Lawton City Jail and booked for second-degree burglary.
