MERIDIAN, OK (KSWO) –A woman was taken to the hospital after an apparent robbery at a home in Meridian, Oklahoma, Monday evening.
The Stephens County Sheriff Office was called to a home on Refinery Road around 4:30 p.m. on a call of a shooting in connection to the robbery.
"Right now, the preliminary investigation appears it could be an apparent armed robbery that occurred here at this house this afternoon. Four people in the home were bound by zip ties. The mother of one of the individuals that was bound lives in a trailer directly behind this home, (she) was struck in the head with a pistol or handgun of some sort. The suspects fled the scene," said Stephens County Sheriff Wayne McKinney.
The woman suffered from non-life threatening injuries. No one else was injured. There was a baby in the home at the time, but was not hurt.
The robbery is under investigation.
