LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -The investigation into the death of a 32-year-old woman is pending until Lawton police get the results an autopsy and toxicology report.

The woman was taken to a Lawton hospital by ambulance Friday, Feb. 26, with injuries to her face and head. Hospital staff believed she was suffering from an allergic reaction until the woman told them she'd been involved in an abusive relationship and had been assaulted.

The doctor stated her organs started shutting down while she was in CVICU.

Police say they left a domestic abuse form with nursing staff because she was unconscious at the time, but the woman died Monday. The form was never completed.
