ELGIN, OK (KSWO) -Comanche County fire crews were on the scene of a small grass fire outside Elgin Thursday afternoon.

Officials say the fire started around 2 p.m. when a tank of anhydrous ammonia was being towed down Highway 17 lost a wheel. That sparked the fire, which burned about three acres.

Fletcher and Sterling fire crews responded to the blaze and had it out within 20 minutes.
