Altus police still searching for suspect in drive-by shooting

ALTUS, OK (KSWO) –Altus police are still looking for the man they believe was involved in a drive-by shooting on Jan. 27.

The drive-by shooting took place at 1:45 p.m. Jan. 27 on the 600 block of North Julian. Police were told that gunshots came from a gray, four-door Pontiac. A parked vehicle was shot and investigators recovered bullet fragments from inside the trunk.

Investigators put a case together and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Jervon Ikeem Carruthers.

Carruthers also has unrelated warrants for his arrest.

He is described as a black man, 5’6” and around 170 pounds. Police say he is considered armed and dangerous. If you know where he is, call the Altus Police Department at 580-482-4121, the Altus/Jackson County Crime Stoppers at 580-482-TIPS (8477) or your local law enforcement.

Crime Stoppers tips can remain anonymous. If your tip leads to his arrest, you could get a cash reward.
