2 teens injured in rollover wreck near Walters

WALTERS, OK (KSWO) –Two Lawton teens were injured in a rollover wreck near Walters Monday evening.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old driver and his 16-year-old passenger were southbound on County Road N2610, a gravel road just north of Walters, when the vehicle went into a broad slide and started to roll. The 2004 Mazda the two teens were in rolled one and three-quarter times, it hit a fence and a tree while rolling.

Both teens were wearing seat belts, but the passenger was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital via personal vehicle. He was treated and released for head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

The passenger was taken to CCMH by ambulance and was admitted for observation in good condition with similar injuries.
