LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - The man who turned himself in for stealing purses appeared in court Tuesday.

18-year-old Kelton Wilson, Jr. turned himself in last week after surveillance images showed him stealing purses at the Walmart on Sheridan Road. Police say the same man has been involved in two purse snatchings. The latest theft was Friday, March 4, at Walmart on Northwest Sheridan Road. The previous case was Feb. 2. Detectives say the overwhelming response on social media helped in the arrest.

Wilson was charged Tuesday with two counts of grand larceny and is being held on $20,000 bond.
