Little girl gifts hair on her birthday

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Olivia Beckette, 7, spent part of her birthday on St. Patrick’s Day in the Anthony David Salon in Central Mall---giving back to young girls who don't have the princess like hair she does.

"She saw a Saint Jude commercial. She went through a barrage of questions asking how come the girls don't have hair? What's wrong with them? I just told her some of the girls get sick, sometimes they lose their hair, sometimes they can't grow it back, she says well, I want to donate my hair to them, and I said okay," said Olivia’s mother Beth Beckette.

This is the second time Olivia has donated more than 10 inches of her hair to Wigs for Kids which provides children with hair, free of charge. Olivia says she likes giving because it's important for little girls like her to help others.
