STILLWATER, OK (KSWO) - Oklahoma State has parted ways with men's basketball coach Travis Ford. The school announced the move Friday evening.
Ford lasted eight seasons in Stillwater. He compiled a 155-111 record. He led the Cowboys to five NCAA tournament appearances, but only advanced past the first round once.
One big factor in Ford's departure was his lack of success against rival Oklahoma. The Cowboys have lost seven in a row to the Sooners, and nine of their last ten. The nail in the coffin was this past season when the Pokes struggled to a 12-20 record, including a 3-15 mark in conference play, placing 9th in the big 12 standings, ahead of only TCU.
