FORT SILL, OK (KSWO) –Fort Sill is about to get a lot noisier Tuesday during a training session.

Fort Sill announced Monday that a B-52 from Barksdale AFB, LA, will drop 18 750-pound live bombs on the west range around 2:40 p.m. The nearly 7 tons of bombs will be dropped from approximately 10,000 feet in the air, so you probably won’t see the B-52.

According to Fort Sill, this is the first time in quite a few years that a B-52 has done a live bombing at the post.
