FORT SILL, OK (KSWO) -The historic bombing exercise at Fort Sill featuring a B-52 went off without a hitch, in spite of the strong winds

The B-52 is based in Louisiana at Barksdale Air Force Base. The plane made four passes over Fort Sill's west range and dropped a total of 18 bombs, each weighing about 750 pounds.

This was the first time in several years that a B-52 had been involved in a training mission on post.
