Duncan robbery suspect caught in Lawton

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –An observant Lawton officer spotted a Duncan man wanted for a convenience store robbery.

Larry Shawn Nixon was spotted going into a room at a Lawton motel at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. The officer believed the man he saw was wanted for robbing Camelback Corner in Duncan. After checking his license plate, he called for backup and they knocked on the door.

Nixon answered and was ordered to put his hands up and get on his knees at gunpoint. He complied with their orders and was arrested on the spot.

He was taken to the Lawton City Jail and will be extradited to Stephens County. His warrant comes with a $10,000 bond.
