LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –A bus driver and monitor were taken to the hospital after their bus was rear-ended Monday morning.
A Ford Focus rear-ended an LPS school bus at 8:20 a.m. Monday at Southwest 12th Street and Dr. Charles Whitlow. No students were on the bus at the time, but the driver and monitor were taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital after they said they had minor injuries.
The Focus sustained massive damage to the front passenger side, but the driver didn't say she was hurt.
The driver of the Focus told police she couldn't see the bus because the sun was in her eyes. The bus was stopped at the time.
No citations have been issued and the Lawton Police Department's Traffic Division is investigating.
