JACKSON COUNTY, OK (KSWO) - An Altus woman was in an Oklahoma City hospital at last check after she was thrown out of an SUV during a crash.

It happened on a Jackson County road when OHP says the driver was trying to keep 20-year-old Helen Hernandez from getting out of the SUV while they were moving. Troopers say the Suburban went off the road and over-corrected before hitting a post and rolling one full time. Hernandez did not have a seatbelt on and was thrown out before being pinned under the vehicle. Altus firefighters freed her and she was flown by helicopter to OU Medical Center.
