LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –The SkyWARN 7 weather team is tracking the possibility of storms with large hail.
Storms are expected to start around Highway 183, which runs through Kiowa and Tillman counties, Wednesday afternoon. Those storms will move east and the main impact area is between I-44 and Highway 81. Large hail up to the size of tennis balls is the main concern, but damage from wind gusts up to 70-80 mph is also possible.
Tornadoes are possible with any storm that develops.
The primary time for the storms is until 6 p.m. Wednesday, so this will likely interfere with your drive home or picking the kids up from school.
Stay weather aware.
