LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -The man who led Lawton police on a chase this week, only to be chased out of the home he was trying to hide in, has been charged.

Kevin Matthew Knight is being charged with first-degree burglary, eluding police officers and drug and firearm charges.

Knight took off from police during a routine traffic stop, broke into a woman's home to avoid capture and was arrested after the owner of the home chased him out with a hatchet.

He's being held on a $1 million bond. He’s set to appear in court in May.
