LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- A natural gas line on a busy road on Lawton's west side is back under control after spewing for nearly two hours on Monday.
Police say the driver an SUV was westbound on Cache near 82nd Street when his steering wheel fell off. After veering off the road, the driver crashed through a small barbed wire fence, hitting an exposed part of a gas line. Both east and westbound lanes of traffic were closed for nearly two hours while workers with CenterPoint Energy were called in to repair the line. The driver was uninjured in the crash.
