LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - A wreck on Rogers Lane Monday night caused officials to turn off a natural gas line.

Police say the driver of this pickup was eastbound on Rogers Lane near the Fort Sill Boulevard exit when he hydroplaned before crashing into a stop sign, two back yards, and two gas meters.

Firefighters had to deploy special cutting tools to free the truck from the gas lines. One eastbound lane was closed for a short time. Police say the 17-year-old driver and passenger suffered minor bumps and bruising. Police say the driver was going too fast for the current road conditions.
