Lawton council member announces candidacy for state legislature

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Lawton city council member Keith Jackson formally announced his candidacy for the state legislature.

Jackson released a statement saying he is committed to improving the education system and spurring economic growth. Jackson says his experience in business has taught him to balance a budget, something he believes we need in a leader. Jackson is a small business owner and has served on the Lawton City Council for 16 years.

He's running as a Republican for the District 64 seat in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. The incumbent, Ann Coody, has reached her term limit
