LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - Students combined robots and their schoolwork to learn more about science and math Saturday at the Armed Services YMCA.
"We can build our own stuff," said student Keziah Mahanera. "I have so much fun because I can make stuff. When I get older, I make stuff and be an engineer and a scientist."
Stem Achievement Foundation hosted STEM Saturday. The kids built the robots they wanted to make, but learned about science and engineering. This is part of the STEM Achievement Foundation's goal to get more kids involved in science, technology, engineering and math.
They hope to have more of these sessions in the future.
