DUNCAN, OK (KSWO) -Dismuke Plumbing in Duncan received some special recognition from Gov. Mary Fallin for more than 50 years of service to the community.

April 18, 2016, has been declared Dismuke Plumbing Day across the state. Roy Dismuke, the owner of Dismuke Plumbing, spoke about what this honor means to him.

“It's been an up and down deal. We've had some good times and some bad times, but we've always kinda enjoyed what we do. I just appreciate all the customers we have and friends in Duncan that have supported us all these years,” Dismuke said.

The family-owned operation opened in 1963 and the owner-operators credit the Duncan community for their longevity and the independence they've enjoyed as small business owners.
