LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- “The Music Man” will sound off Saturday evening at the McMahon Auditorium.

This adaptation of the classic Broadway hit, later made into a Hollywood film, is the last performance of the Lawton Philharmonic's season. The show will feature an orchestra on set, with a cast of actors that includes former KSWO news anchor Jan Stratton and SkyWarn 7 Meteorologist Katie Western.

Lawton Philharmonic Conductor Jon Kalbfleisch says this show offers a terrific alternative to the standard entertainment options available in Lawton.

"These days people watch it at home on television or on the computer, but to see it live and to see and hear all these people coming together and performing this right here in  your home town is a completely unusual and unique opportunity,” said Kalbfleisch.

The show begins at 8 p.m. Saturday at McMahon Auditorium. Tickets are $10 and are available over the phone at (580) 531-5043 or online at the Lawton Philharmonic's website.
