LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –The City of Lawton is getting ready for their 7th annual Children’s Art Fair.

The Children’s Art Fair will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Elmer Thomas Park Festival Pad.

In addition to announcing the art contest winners and showcasing their work, they will have a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals and much more.

"It's something for the children that lets them express themselves. Let them know that there's so much out there they can do. Arts has a lot more to do than just painting. It could be martial arts, musical arts, it could be dancing arts...it's a little bit of everything. And that way they can express themselves and just have a good time and know the sky's the limit," said Julia Greffin, senior rec coordinator for Lawton’s Parks and Recreation department.

The art fair is completely free and children between kindergarten and fifth grade are invited to come out and have fun.
