GERONIMO, OK (KSWO) -Investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what caused a fire at a home in Geronimo, but they believe it was electrical in nature.

Fire crews say the fire started just before 11 p.m. Sunday at a home near the intersection of Southeast Divine Road and New Hope Road. They say the fire caused extensive damage to the kitchen area, where they believe it started, and caused smoke damage to the rest of the house. Total damages are estimated between $25,000 and $30,000.

Fire investigators say the home was vacant, but there was still electricity going to the home. The investigation has been turned over to Comanche Nation Police.
