COMANCHE, OK (KSWO) –The thunderstorms that hit Texoma Tuesday evening caused roofs to blow off in Comanche.

The storm had a history of producing hail around golf ball size and wind gusts between 60 and 70 mph. That storm dropped hail in Tipton, but it caused most of the wind damage in Comanche.

Chance and Carla Warren sent in photos of toppled trees and a roof that was ripped off a storage building.

The same storm also took out power poles in southeast Lawton and knocked down a tree on Northeast Rogers Lane.

PSO reported more 1,500 people were without power for a bit during the storm. Cotton Electric says fewer than 1,000 people went without power for a few hours because of downed powerlines and substations outages.
