ELGIN, OK (KSWO) - A semi in Elgin was also a casualty of the storm--knocked onto its side as the leading edge of the storm moved over the turnpike, with wind gusts measured at 115 miles an hour.
It happened just north of the Elgin exit. The highway patrol said the driver was injured and taken to the hospital. They are still compiling their report from him to determine exactly how the crash happened.
The highway was closed down for about an hour on the southbound side while crews worked to get the truck upright, and off the road.
