OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (KSWO) -Two teenage boys who've been dealt a bad hand are hoping you can make a difference in their lives. The boys are looking for a family to adopt them.

Brothers Jerimiah and Zephaniah are your typical teenagers. At 17 and 15 years old, they like to hang out, play video games and watch sports. The boys have been in the system for several years and say the only constant has been each other, but now they're hoping to find a family.

"I would like a family that I can like trust," Jerimiah said.

Trust is very important to the boys. They say it's been a long time since they've had someone they can depend on. Given everything they've been through, it's easy to understand why it takes them a while to open up.

When they were younger, Zephaniah says they didn't know how to channel the frustration of not having a family, but they've worked really hard to turn things around.

"I was bad at first, but I started cooling down as I got older. I'm not really a bad person if you actually get to know me. I'm actually a nice kid. I'm respectful and stuff." Zephaniah said.

Both boys do well in school and would love to play organized sports someday. Zephaniah enjoys football and likes the nose guard and right guard positions. Jerimiah wants to play point guard for a basketball team.

They're looking for a laid-back family who enjoys those type of activities and also likes being outdoors. But most of all, they want to be adopted together by someone who can provide the love and attention they need.

"Just to have somebody in my life that like really cares," Jerimiah said.

If you have room in your home and heart for the brother, call 580-250-3700 extension 3719 to learn more about them and how to add them to your family.
