LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –A man was arrested for domestic abuse before police found a stolen gun and drugs hidden in a wall.

Zachary Edge’s girlfriend told police they were lying in bed Wednesday morning when she moved away because she was hot. She told police Edge grabbed her by her hair and pushed her head into the headboard, she said he then tried to grab her neck and choke her. Edge eventually left the home and his girlfriend called police.

Police found Edge about a mile away from the home and arrested him for domestic abuse. He was taken to the Lawton City Jail where his ankle monitor had to be removed by a Lawton bail bondsman. Police say Edge had a prior domestic abuse conviction in Comanche County.

Police searched the home and found five grams of marijuana and a digital scale on the dresser in the master bedroom. They also found a mason jar with about 42 grams of marijuana and a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson hidden in the wall. Police also found a stolen rifle in the garage.

Edge was arrested for assault and battery-domestic abuse, possession of drugs with the intent to distribute, receiving stolen property and using offensive weapons.
